Trees are a fascinating part of nature, with so many different varieties, species and subspecies trees can often tend to look the same, however, when looking deep into trees and their purposes one finds that each is unique, serving different purposes and having different needs. Triangle Palm

Triangle palm trees are small in size and have enormous leaves that grow up to 8m long, overtaking most of the tree’s appearance. Hence the name, the leaves of a Triangle Palm are in a triangular shape and point out at 120 degrees allowing the entire tree to appear completely triangular too.

  • Alexander Palm Tree- Alexander Palm tree has an extremely long trunk and small leaves which can grow up to 25 feet tall in very sunny climates.
  • Canary Island Date Palm- With a pineapple-looking trunk, this palm tree can grow up to 40ft tall and is tolerant to droughts and dry climates.
  • Chinese Fan Palm- These palm trees have a long and thin trunk that grows up to 40ft tall and can withstand even the most forceful of winds.
  • Coconut Palm- These are some of the largest palms in the world and can most commonly be found in the state of Florida where they grow up to 80ft tall and produce large amounts of colors in sunny climates with moderate amounts of water.

Hawaii has many varieties of palm trees some of which are completely native with palm like leaves that cannot be seen anywhere else in the world, some of these particular types of palm trees include

  • Loulu Palm- The Loulu Palm has fan-like palm tree leaves that can appear anywhere from shades of green to silver and even blue and yellow. These leaves have smaller segments and are often used in making thatch roofs due to their strength capabilities.
  • Adonidia Merilii- These are one of the most beautiful palm trees found in Hawaii and are large in size sprouting bright red fruits. Their Arching leaves and skyscraper height make them a landscape piece that can be seen in the hottest parts of tropical Hawaii.
  • Attalea Cohune- This type of palm has large leaves that tend to point upwards bearing large fruits with only one big seed this particular palm type is easy to identify.
